Travel: I was most recently in Hong Kong. This was the third time I've been there and certainly not the last. I've also begun plotting many new travels, but that will all be announced when I have details (teaser: Europe, Europe, Europe)
Work: The shit hit the fan this past month. One of my students "broke" his arm (the drama of these parents; his arm was never broken, it just hurt) and then there was an "outbreak" of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease in my classroom. Of course. This highly contagious, not very serious, (think chicken pox) disease spreads through...well everything children do, from picking their noses to drooling, and three kids got sick. Somehow this large scale epidemic was the fault of the school so I had my students quarantined and a lot of people coming in and out of my classroom for weeks. I couldn't get anything done! But now, fortunately, everyone is happy and healthy, with no broken bones, and cute as ever! Just look at them! Awwwwww
Health: I had my first Chinese massage a few days ago. It is supposed to be good for you. It's to get your "blood flowing" (like it isn't already) and to generally get you all sorted out. And it hurts like hell. I was breathing like a woman in labor. My knuckles were white. I almost tapped out. I almost fought the masseuse. But I didn't want to be the whiny western girl. So I just dealt with it. I actually felt great by the time I left but I'm not sure if that was because the massage was actually good for me, or I was just relieved that it was over...Anyway, I'm testing the theory again this coming weekend...I'll report back.
That's the shortest of summaries that I have! Thanks for all the constant love and support!
